From here the single observer controls the SLR operations, whilst providing a visual
back-up to the safety radar system. All system monitoring and optimisation can be carried out from the
platform, including switching between lasers (10Hz, 2kHz) and viewing a real-time indication of ranging success
(one of the screens is
'hot'!)
