The Stevenson screen houses the probes that enable digital recording of ambient
temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The recordings are automatically
logged every 5 minutes and provide an essential complimentary data set to the
SLR and GNSS measurements. They are used particularly during the precise
analysis of the SLR observations as input to a model to determine the
atmospheric delay on the laser pulses during their flight to and from the
satellite.
