Calibration Baselines

To monitor the long term stability of the laser ranging calibration targets we examine the history of differences between calibration range measurements to each target to check for any trends.  Our main target is on the 'Water Tower' some 100m to the West of the Facility and range measurements to that target are compared here to those made to the nearby Trig point 400m to the East and to a Retro and a Flat target on the INT dome, also to the East of the Facility.
Analyses of the results are underway to detect any potential long term drifts in the results, which might indicate a stability problem with one or more of the targets, or indeed with the laser system itself.
